- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join them on a 6 month contract. This position will be hybrid, London.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, collaborative, Business Analyst with good experience working with data engineering and data modelling teams to help accelerate the above work by mapping out the business processes that need to be captured as part of our data models across multiple areas for analytical and operational purposes.
Essential:
- Experience of analysing and understanding a business problem, process or opportunity.
- Ability to both initiate business analysis of a subject area and to build on previous analysis and modelling work using research and analysis skills.
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders to understand how a business area or process works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology.
- Experience in workshop facilitation, interviews, observation and other stakeholder engagement techniques such as elicitation workshops, conducting face-to-face in-depth interviews, and developing and analysing surveys.
- Experience of identifying and elaborating on user and business needs to enable effective design, development and testing of data services.
- Experience of requirements gathering in a data modelling context: leading workshop facilitation, interviews, prototyping.
- Experience and demonstrable ability to compile functional and non-functional requirements and manage these effectively in a catalogue.
- Ability to model requirements with AGILE (User stories/epics) and UML (Use cases).
- Experience of providing a level of quality assurance to all documentation and deliverables by ensuring a suite of documents is produced.
