- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Strategic Relationship Manager to join them on a 12 month contract. This position will be UK wide/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
Strategic Relationship Manager (Construction & Government) / Senior Commercial Manager
Essential Experience and Knowledge:
- Proven experience in strategic relationship management (SRM), partnership management or senior stakeholder engagement roles.
- Construction sector experience or strong working knowledge, including supply chains, delivery environments and commercial drivers.
- Experience of working within, or closely with, the public sector / government environment, with an understanding of governance, assurance and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex, multi stakeholder settings, balancing competing priorities and interests.
- Strong SRM experience/ NEC / construction commercial experience.
Skills and Capabilities
- Strong strategic thinking, able to set direction, identify opportunities and manage issues proactively rather than reactively.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, with credibility at senior and executive levels.
- Highly developed organisational and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple workstreams and long term objectives effectively.
- Confident in working autonomously, exercising sound judgement and owning outcomes without reliance on task by task direction.
- Able to analyse complex or ambiguous information and translate it into clear, actionable insight for decision makers.
