- The Client:
A government department client is looking for a Data Management Coordinator to join them on a 6 month contract. This position will be based in London/ Hybrid.
Job Summary:
Role Purpose:
- To maintain the existing dictionary and forthcoming database of substance data used in medicinal products, and assist with maintenance of organisation names, addresses and associated data; and other data dictionaries as required.
- This role is critical in ensuring that the data in our new substance database is of good quality, fit for purpose, and meets international standards.
- Substances used in medicinal products include chemical, biological, biochemical and herbal substances.
Key Responsibilities and Results Areas:
- To add, maintain and update the substance dictionary and new substance database in a timely manner within deadlines.
- Respond to requests for addition and amendment of organisation name, address and contact data, and other reference data, within deadlines.
- Investigate appropriate information sources to ensure the accuracy, avoiding duplication, of data added to MHRA system dictionaries.
- Advise on the correct use of terms within the MHRA system dictionaries.
- Support the Digital Enablement function with administrative tasks.
- Support applying data quality improvements across a range of datasets.
Person Specification:
- Looking for a graduate with a life sciences degree (Biology, Chemistry etc) to work with the medicines database.
- Data and substance validation.
- Data entry.
- This is not data analysis but is data validation – making sure the data is correct for the substance.
